The craft room organization craft room group, which has offices in the Washington, D.C., area, announced on Tuesday it will spend $30 million over three years to expand to a larger market.
The new funding will be used to launch a global business network, expand its online presence and hire more full-time employees, the group said in a press release.
The craft room has grown into a community of nearly 200 craft-themed businesses and organizations in the U.S. and abroad, which the group has worked to reach out to since the group began in 2011.
The group has also made headlines for its commitment to building a better-paying job, and recently launched an online platform that allows consumers to share their personal stories of working in craft spaces.
